What is the ECNL RL?
The Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) was founded in 2009 as a challenge to the status quo of youth soccer, with a vision to be better. Today, the ECNL represents the epitome of excellence in youth soccer, for boys and girls, as the league and its clubs, players, coaches, and everyone involved seeks to constantly "Raise the Game" for the future
The ECNL Regional League (RL) are regional leagues around the nation, managed by and serving as a pathway to the ECNL.
What are the benefits of playing in the ECNL RL?
The ECNL's elite training environment promotes increased technical standards and allows for greater accountability for players and coaches. Joining the ECNL RL gives SWMO Rush the resources and opportunities to provide the training and environment for our players and coaches to excel. These enhacements are outlined on the program pages.
Additionally, the ECNL is considered the best college recruiting league in the country, with hundreds of coaches and scouts in attendance at games and events.
What age groups will participate?
SWMO Rush will field teams in U13, U14, U15, U16, and U17. Additionally, U12 teams will participate in the Pre-ECNL league.
What is the cost?
We are still determining the fee structure for this new program. It will be outlined on our fees page once finalized. In the meantime, check out the ECNL RL program pages to see what all will be included in the fees.
Will there be travel involved?
Yes. As part of the ECNL RL - Frontier League, we will travel regionally to play teams from Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.
However, unlike teams currently playing in Heartland or SLYSA leagues, the ECNL RL has a Home/Away structure, so teams will have guaranteed home games each season.
What does this mean for players who aren't rostered on an ECNL RL team?
SWMO Rush is a member of multiple leagues, giving all teams the opportunity to play at their developmental level. We send teams to the NPL, MADL, Heartland, SLYSA, and Lake Country legaues every year.
Each season, directors and coaches will evaulate each team individually to determine which league will provide the best competitive environment.
What if I still have questions?
The ECNL website has a Parents Resource Center with a lot of great information.
If you still have questions, reach out to your coach or director.
